The last one
Brom: The Plucker, display edition. Three hundred copies, numbered by hand.

This is what the Circle was offered last. The Plucker mounted against a sculpted background, in an edition capped at three hundred and never repeated.
It was never announced publicly. It went out in a single email to members, who were given first refusal before anyone else knew it existed.

II
What it is
Not a mailing list. A closed room with a fixed number of chairs.
Most brands call their newsletter a club. We wanted the opposite: a group small enough that we know who is in it, and a set of pieces that exist only because that group exists.
The Inner Circle is capped at 500 collectors. Members see every new exclusive sculpt four days before anyone else, and some of those sculpts are never offered to anyone else at all. Each one is cast in a declared edition, numbered by hand, and closed for good when the last copy is claimed.
There is no fee. Nothing to subscribe to. You earn a seat through your collection, and you keep it by staying an active collector.
Every Mindworks piece is sculpted, produced, finished and packed by hand in our workshop in Italy. Editions are small because the process is slow, not because we decided to make them feel scarce.
III
How a release works
Four days, a declared edition, and a door that closes.
We run roughly four EXCLUSIVE releases a year. Each one follows the same rhythm, so members always know where they stand.
-
Two weeks out — the first look
Members receive a single image of the piece. No price, no date, no link. Just the sculpt, before it exists anywhere on the internet.
-
Ten days out — the terms
We announce the edition size, the price, and the exact day and hour the release opens. From this point nothing changes: if we say 300 copies, there will never be a 301st.
-
Four days out — the Circle opens
Members buy. Longest-standing members are contacted individually first and offered their choice of serial number. Ninety-six hours of the edition belong to the Circle alone.
-
Release day — if anything remains
Whatever the Circle has not taken may open more widely, or may not open at all. Some pieces are Circle-only from the start and never leave the room.
-
Two weeks later — the count
We write to every member with the final number: how many copies went, and how many were left. We publish the figure whether it flatters us or not. A club that only reports its sell-outs is not telling you anything.
IV
What members receive
Six things, and each one is a commitment rather than a perk.
Ninety-six hours ahead
Every exclusive release opens to the Circle four full days before anyone else hears of it.
In practice this is the difference between choosing a piece and hoping one is left.
Made for the Circle
Certain sculpts are commissioned, cast and released for members only. They are not held over from the catalogue and they do not go into it afterwards.
When the edition closes, that variant is retired. If you own one, the number of people who can ever say the same is fixed.
Choice of number
Every Circle piece is numbered by hand on the base. Members are offered their serial number rather than assigned one.
The lowest numbers go first to the longest-standing members. Seniority is counted in years, not in euros.
A direct line
Members write to Matteo, our founder, instead of to customer service. Same inbox he reads himself, usually the same day.
Use it for anything: hunting a piece from an old catalogue, a question about a cast, or a request for something we have not made yet.
Shipping included
Free worldwide shipping on every Inner Circle release, with no minimum and no threshold to reach.
Members outside Europe are roughly a third of the Circle. Nobody should pay more for a piece because of where they live.
VAT, US-import tariff and shipping are all covered in the price.
A member number
Assigned on the day you join, kept for as long as you hold your seat, and never reissued to anyone else.
It determines your place in the queue for serial numbers, and it is how we recognise you when you write.
V
Who gets in
We publish the criteria, because a club that will not say who it admits is not a club.
There is no interview and no judgement of taste. We look at your history as a collector with us, and the numbers either clear the bar or they do not.
- CollectionAt least two Mindworks pieces, bought directly from us.Bought from a retailer or received as a gift? Tell us in your application, we will take it into account, we simply cannot see it in our records.
- StandingA lifetime spend of €250 or more with Mindworks.Counted across your whole history with us, going back to 2020. Shipping and taxes are excluded from the figure.
- ActivityAt least one order in the last twelve months. This is the one that turns people away most often. Collectors who have been away longer go onto the waiting list and return to the Circle with their next piece.
- PrioritySome applications are weighted ahead of others.Kickstarter backers, owners of limited or numbered editions, and collectors introduced by an existing member are considered first when seats are scarce.
- TradeRetailers, distributors and resellers are not eligible.Nothing personal, and we would genuinely like to work with you, write to us about wholesale terms instead. The Circle is for people who keep the pieces.
If you do not meet the criteria yet, apply anyway. You will go onto the waiting list and we will tell you plainly what is missing. Seats open every year at the annual review, and the waiting list is where we fill them from, in the order applications arrived.
VI
The rules
Short, and applied to everyone the same way.
A seat lasts twelve months
Counted from the day you join, then renewed automatically for any member who has collected at least one piece during the year.
Unused seats are returned
A member who has not collected anything in twelve months moves to the waiting list. We write to say so a month beforehand, never after the fact.
One introduction a year
Each member may put forward one collector per year. They skip the criteria but must collect a piece within ninety days to keep the seat.
A seat is yours alone
Membership cannot be sold, lent or transferred. The pieces are yours to do as you wish with; the seat is not.
The possibility of losing a seat is what makes holding one mean something. We would rather run a Circle of two hundred active collectors than five hundred names on a list.
VII
Apply for a seat
Every application is read by a person and answered.
Use the email address linked to your Mindworks account, so we can match your collection to it. If you have never created an account but have collected our work, say so in the last field and we will find you.
VIII
Questions
- Does it cost anything to join?
- No. There is no membership fee and nothing to renew. A seat is earned through your collection, not bought.
- How many releases are there in a year?
- Around four. We would rather put out four pieces a year that deserve the edition number than twelve that do not. Members are told the calendar in advance.
- Can an Inner Circle piece be bought later?
- No. When an edition closes it stays closed, and Circle-only pieces never enter the public catalogue. This is the single promise the whole club rests on, so we do not make exceptions, not for events, not for retailers, not for us.
- What if I miss a release?
- Nothing happens to your seat. Missing a release costs you the piece, not your membership. Only twelve months without collecting anything at all moves you to the waiting list.
- What happens at the annual review?
- We look at whether you have collected anything in the past year. If you have, your seat renews automatically and you hear nothing. If you have not, we write a month beforehand to let you know the seat is going back to the waiting list, and you can rejoin at any time with your next piece.
- How long does an application take?
- A week at most. We check your history, apply the criteria, and reply either way. Nobody is left waiting without an answer.
- I have collected your work but never made an account. Am I eligible?
- Very likely. Tell us in the application where and when you bought, and we will work it out. Fair, Kickstarter and retailer purchases all count towards your collection even though they may not appear in our shop records.
- Do you ship worldwide?
- Yes, and shipping is included on every Circle release. Around a third of our members are outside Europe.
- I am a retailer. Can I join?
- Not through the Circle, but we do want to hear from you. Write to us about wholesale terms and we will send our trade conditions.
- Can I leave?
- At any time, with one email. Your seat returns to the waiting list and you keep every piece you have collected.
Every piece is sculpted, produced, finished and packed by hand in Italy.
